Geoffrey Brackett appointed to three-year provost term

Selection process raises further questions regarding policy and timing

President Stephen J. Friedman announced that the Board of Trustees (BOT) appointed Interim Provost Geoffrey Brackett to a three-year term as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. The term runs from Sept. 1, 2007 through Aug. 31, 2010, according to a release on the University Web site.

Meal plan miscommunication causes momentary grief

Confusion spreads after incorrect rates for 2008-2009 year posted on University Web site

The University recently announced the amount of next year's required commuter meal plan from $125 to an incorrect $775. The mistake was detected soon after it was made public. It is unknown who discovered the error. The meal plan mix up was posted on the new admissions for undergraduates Web site, the tuition and fees Web site and also on the freshman online application, which can still be seen at the University website.

Feast on humor, complexity in Platanos and Collard Greens

MBA students travel to Tanzania for business

Bruce Bachenheimer, Lubin School of Business' director of entrepreneurship program, along with 15 Masters of Business Administration (MBA) will be traveling to Tanzania to study with community leaders.  They depart March 13 to spend 10 days learning about entrepreneurship in a social and commercial context; this is considered a field study course.

Summer tuition drops by 23 percent

Undergraduate summer courses were recently changed from $845 to $650 per credit, a cost reduction of 23 percent for students. To take a three-credit course in prior summer sessions, students paid $2535 for tuition alone. This year's rate change will bring the tuition of a three-credit course to $1950.
